Le Tastevin Wine Tasting – July 08, 2026 - Summer Dinner
Our traditional summer dinner at Eddie V's in Troy featured outstanding wines from the 11 members who attended. Food wise, our course meal was as follows:
1. Maine Lobster Tacos (Housemade Tortillas, filled with Maine lobster, sweet corn Pico De Gallo, sliced avocado, Cotija cheese, remoulade, topped with lime)
2. Steak Tartare (Hand-Chopped center cut Filet Mignon, tossed tableside with fresh egg yolk, capers, EVOO, served with toasted baguettes and house mustard spread)
3. Morel-crusted lamb chops (Australian lamb wet-aged for 21 days, with an herb-infused Chimichurri sauce)
4. Center-cut Filet Mignon
5. USDA Prime bone-in Ribeye (Mashed Potatoes, Crab Fried Rice with Mushrooms and Scallons)
Wine wise, this tasting was simply outstanding: all the wines showed well, and many were superlative.
